Welcome to Regina International Airport, the second largest airport in Saskatchewan! In 2010, 1.12 million travelers visited the Regina International Airport (YQR). In fact, the Regina airport is the second fastest growing airport in Canada.
To keep up with this demand, the airport authority undertook an ambitious renovation project. In 2005 the terminal was expanded to keep up with the increasing number of passengers and in 2011 work began to enhance the runways to accommodate higher plane traffic. Regina airport is growing fast!
Regina is considered the southern gateway to the U.S. Midwest. Delta Air Lines and United Airlines are the two major airlines out of Regina with regular flights to Denver, Chicago and Minneapolis. In the winter, flights schedules include routine service to Phoenix and Las Vegas, as well as longer international flights to destinations to Mexico, Dominica Republic, Cuba and Panama.
Canadian Airlines and West Jet are the two major Canadian airlines that offer flights out of Regina. The two companies offer daily direct flights to Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Toronto. Express Air, a charter company, offers daily flights between Regina and Saskatoon.
There are both short-term and long-term parking options at the terminal, and prices for parking are still relatively low compared to other airports. The airport also offers complementary electrical outlets, which you can use to plug in a block heater so your car will easily start when parking in the middle of winter.
